Temple Fork Outfitters BVK Series Fly Rods

September 5, 2011 By: Kirk Deeter

Temple Fork Outfitters (TFO) is the company that deserves credit for pushing the performance-for-price envelope. Drawing from the rod design expertise of luminaries like Lefty Kreh, Bob Clouser, and others, the TFO approach is simple: Design great rods, manufacture them in Asia, and then sell them in the U.S. to a hungry audience of anglers who don’t want to spend an arm and a leg to go fishing. The philosophy has worked so well that TFO now stands as one of the leading fly rod manufacturers worldwide.

New for 2012 is TFO’s “BVK” series, which Lefty Kreh helped design to be ultra light, easy to cast, and plenty powerful for fighting tough fish. This is a fast action series that is available in weights 3 to 10. Ranging in length from 8′ to 10‘ with 4 and 5 piece models available. Retail is $225.
