Church Words and Guadalupes

Neuces River guide and outdoor writer Lefty Ray Chapa recounts tying flies with the retired guys in the church basement and the different sort of atmosphere that comes with six-foot rattlers on a Texas trail.  “Golf is very similar to fly fishing. Both involve swinging expensive high-tech graphite sticks in the air. At the end of the day both sport participants end up with nothing tangible to show for it as most fly fisherman release what they catch and golfers generally do not eat their golf balls.”
