AP: Montana Fly-Fishing Trips Down 30-80% Because of High Water

On the heels of yesterday’s Reuters story about massive runoff affecting guides and outfitters in all of the northern Rockies, the Associated Press writes that Montana is being particularly hard hit, with trip cancellations running as high as 80%. “‘The water’s been weighing on our minds and I’ve been having dreams about water conditions,’ [Dan Vermillion of Sweetwater Fly Shop] said. ‘My sense is, it’s going to drop pretty quickly. It’s going to be two weeks before we know.'”
