Cabela's LSi Fly Rod

LSi Series

Cabela’s LSi Fly Rods are updated and improved versions of their popular LST fly rod series. The blanks feature a proprietary blend of high-modulus graphite in a cross-weave construction that increases durability without adding weight. These rods are in the lower end of the fast-action range, making them the most forgiving and versatile fly rods Cabela’s offers.  The lightweight graphite reel seat sport aluminum hardware and the composite cork rings at the top and bottom of the cork grip resist chipping. Alignment dots on the ferrules help with quick setup. Each rod includes a nylon-covered PVC rod tube as well as a rod sleeve. The LSi fly rods are available in: Single-Hand versions (7½ -foot, 2-weight to a 9-foot, 10-weight); Spey versions (10½-foot, 5-weight to a 14-foot, 9-weight); and a Switch version (10½-foot, 5-weight to an 11-foot, 7-weight). Available November 1, 2010 for $179.99 to $199.99.

HDT Fly Rod

HDT Series

Cabela’s HDT fly rods were designed to be a big-game fly rod for warmwater and saltwater species.  This series includes a rod for everything from throwing streamers and poppers for bass and pike, to fighting salmon and steelhead in big rivers, to pursing saltwater predators on the flats.  The blanks are constructed of a proprietary blend of high-modulus graphite that delivers an extra-fast action and has added strength in the butt-section of the blank to give you the power to turn big fish.  Available in 9-foot lengths in 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 and 12-weight.  The 12-weight has a fore grip and all weights have a fighting butt. Included are a rod tube and rod sleeve.  Available January 1, 2011 for $199.99 to $209.99.
