Fly Fishers Returning to a Wetter South Dakota

After several years of drought — during which by all accounts fly fishers seemed to drift away from Black Hills fisheries — the area is seeing a surge in angling interest thanks to higher water levels.
“Rapid Creek runs deep and fast these days past his home off S.D. Highway 44 west of Rapid City. And the brown trout there are coming back after a long period of drought that shriveled reservoirs and diminished stream flows throughout the Black Hills.” Kevin Woster writes about local optimism in the Rapid City Journal.
