Charlie Meyers to Be Remembered At Dream Stream

This coming Saturday, the late outdoor writer and conservationist Charlie Meyers will be honored when the land surrounding Colorado’s famed “Dream Stream” section of the South Platte will be renamed the Charlie Meyers State Wildlife Area.
In this morning’s Denver Post, Karl Licis collects perspectives on the Dream Stream from several expert fly fishers, including Charlie Craven, Van Rollo, Eddie Kochman, and Sinjin Eberle: “I was telling him all about the project and he was listening, but he also was observing every mayfly and every rising trout. He was fully in tune with every bit of the nature that was all around him, and that really drove home the point to me about why we’re doing these things — the need to pass it on for future generations.”
