A fly rod will outdo most other gear when the quarry is sunfish, says Eric Sharp in the Detroit Free Press. “If you don’t draw a strike in 10-20 seconds, give the fly a twitch every few seconds. And if that fails, try retrieving the fly slowly in a series of starts and stops, followed by a non-stop retrieve.”
