A First Salmon at 84
Harry Ruddock didn’t take up fly fishing until he was 84. Then he proceeded to land a nice salmon on his first guided trip in to Scotland’s Tweed. “Fortunately, rods were available on middle Tweed’s stunning Ravenswood beat on Monday and Tuesday, and a third day was booked on the equally-appealing Tweedswood in case a final throw, so to speak, was required; success with salmon, after all, often feels like casting a dice.” Finlay Wilson on Scotsman.com.
