Fly Fishing Photos: Scale Worship

Beyond skillful writing, Tom Chandler of produces marvelous photos, as evidenced by his recent series of closeups of trout from California’s Upper Sacramento River. And he does all this with a point-and-shoot camera. “The result was a series of underexposed photos of trout with deeply saturated scales. And when you’re given underexposed lemons, you make richly color-saturated lemonade.”
