Tying a Gurgler

You mentioned that you use this often in tantem; where do you tie on the leader for the second fly and what fly do you typically use. BTW, I caught my first snook on a gurgler. It was all brown and tan and I added mono eyes as well. I am looking forward to your response.

I use a loop to loop connection from the mono loop on the hind end of the Gurgler to a loop (Double Surgeons) on a piece of tippet about a foot long (usually 15lb fluoro) onto which the second fly is tied.

95% of the time that second fly is a Popovics Ultra Shrimp. In fact, I rarely fish a Gurgler without one, in saltwater anyway.
