This clip from "Why Fly Fishing" (Miracle Productions, DVD, 31 minutes) is the second half of the segment on fly fishing literature and features John Gierach discussing the nature of fly fishing and the style of writing that surrounds the sport.
Recently released by the American Museum of Fly Fishing, "Why Fly Fishing" was filmed in high definition and is optimized for full-screen viewing. The American Museum of Fly Fishing celebrates angling in all of its dimensions — sport, history, ethics, philosophy, biology, art, craft and literature. If you love fly fishing or want to learn about its rich past, present and future, MidCurrent encourages you to consider becoming a member of the Museum. Since the Museum is a 501-c-3 charitable organization, $25 of the purchase price of the DVD is tax-deductible. You can purchase the DVD from The Book Mailer or directly from the Museum itself.
