Tom Rosenbauer takes congratulations for being named FR&R‘s 2011 Angler of the Year before offering several tips on imitating emerging aquatic insects.
Excerpt: “Tip number one: When flies are emerging, you’re always going to have better fishing. And I don’t care if you are fishing with a dry fly or a nymph, or a wet fly or a streamer — even though streamers supposedly don’t imitate insects — when flies are emerging I think you’re going to have better fishing on any kind of fly. The reason is that there are times when the water column is pretty bare….”
