Jason Jagger

Raised in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, Jason Jagger started guiding on the Yampa after high school. In 1994, he went with two friends who had bought a Suburban and shipped it to Santiago, Chile. They drove south from there to the Straight of Magellan, camped alongside the Gallegos Chico for 4 months, and fished for seatrout in the big river. He then started guiding for San Jose, the last place on the Argentine side of the Rio Grande. His images have appeared in The Drake and in work for RIO and Orvis. He’ll also appear in the next Confluence Films project for ’09 as part of the segment on Los Roques. Living in Steamboat, Jagger guides only summers now, taking images daily when he can.
