About the Artist Lucas Carroll“I am a self-taught fly tier and photographer who uses books as a guide for all the technical stuff. I learn other lessons the hard way, through countless mistakes. I live and fish in Western New York, where I appreciate the diversity of fish species to pursue and the diversity of weather. For me, fly fishing (and photography) are at their best when I'm matching the hatch, whether that is an actual dry fly hatch, or matching the subsurface food selection when the dry bugs aren't around.” |
