  • Pikes Peak Brewing Company has created a new beer, the Bear Creek Porter, named for the home of the greenback cutthroat trout. The porter was created to spark conversations about native trout through beer and is a cooperative mission with Cheyenne Mountain Chapter of Trout Unlimited.

Ben Duchesney of PostFly demonstrates how to tie a standard foam hopper in a recent instructional video. “Ask any fly fisherman and they’ll tell you that the king of summer flies is the hopper,” writes Duchesney. “Fat, juicy hoppers are one of the very few patterns that are enough to draw a trout outside of the shade.”
