Bird Flu Stops US Feather Exports
Due to concerns over avian influenza (HPAI) in flocks in California, Oregon, Washington, and Idaho, the USDA has announced that the certification statement referring to the United States as free from HPAI cannot be endorsed. This means that countries requiring this form for imports cannot receive US avian products, including some fly tying materials, says Bill Black of Spirit River, Inc. For more information, contact your fly manufacturer or supplier.
