A processing plant in western Kentucky is taking the Asian carp invasion into their own hands, and are capitalizing on a market for the fish in China. As it stands, “Almost all federal funding for Asian carp management goes to the Great Lakes,” explains Whitney Jones on NPR. “Meanwhile, officials in Kentucky are looking for their own solutions — including adding another processing plant.”
