Michigan Rodmaker Honored with Heritage Award

Split cane fly rods are enjoying a renaissance in Michigan. In part it’s thanks to masters like Wes Cooper keeping the tradition alive. Recently, Cooper was honored by the Michigan Traditional Arts Program for his dedication and excellence in bamboo rod building and passing on his knowledge of the craft.
