Bikers Sue Over Greenback Closures

After a last remaining pure-strain population of Greenback Cutthroat trout were discovered in Colorado’s Bear Creek, the area’s trails were closed to dirt bikes per a court settlement to help protect this endangered fish. However, bikers are now suing the Forest Service, writes Scott Rappold via Out There Colorado, arguing there was not a “rational basis” for them to close the trails to motorcycles “while allowing other uses to not only continue, but increase, while leaving the trails in place to continue producing sediment.”

All atv and bike trails need to be closed that are near water! None of us want to smell or hear them when we are on the water!! The fish can feel them as well, enough said!!
