Tarpon: “They’re Coming”

There is no doubt that tarpon are increasingly becoming a favorite species to chase on the fly, and Chris Santella delves into the many reasons, recalling a trip to the Jardines off the southern coast of Cuba. There, with a cast, strip and set, “The fish — 75 to 85 pounds, we estimated — catapulted into the air, sunlight sparkling upon its large silver scales.” Read more via The New York Times.
