New from Swift Fly Fishing Company

The Swift Fly Fishing Company has announced several new products and developments: a hubless fly reel, glass Bonefish rod and a double handed rod in the works. Also, a soon to be released line of Epic™ fiberglass blanks–smooth-casting, medium-fast taper builds of proprietary S2-glass composite. The goal was to build “a hybrid angling tool” combining the best attributes of cane, glass, and graphite. Available January 2013.

The Swift Fly Fishing Company Announces the Release of Epic™ S2 – Fiberglass fly rod blanks.

Epic™ blanks are made in New Zealand from a proprietary unidirectional S2 Fiberglass prepreg. The initial range covers 4 models across 3 translucent colors with additional colors to be released in the new year.

Tapers have been developed over 11 months of testing, measuring, casting – and, well, testing again.

About Swift Fly Fishing Company:

Swift is owned and run by On the Fly Productions (the Film & DVD People that make the fly fishing films like “Once in a Blue Moon”, “Itu’s Bones” and “Casts that Catch Fish”)

Swift was born to take over the stuff that a Film Production company probably shouldn’t be doing – Like developing, manufacturing and distributing funky fly fishing equipment and running a distribution company.

So there you have it. On the Fly makes Fly Fishing media. Swift makes and sells fly fishing equipment.
