“My previous life was spent in commercial printing, design and photography and so forth, and way back in 2003 the company that I was running merged with another company in our market and I decided to do something different with my life. And I had some ideas for fly fishing reels and I reached out to a friend of mind who was a [golf] putter maker, Scott Cameron, and asked him who machined his putters, which led me to Danny’s door. It turned out Danny was a fly fisherman and had some ideas of his own. We sat down and hashed things over and literally days after that we started Hatch.”
