Video Hatch: “Speeding Up Science”

As species are becoming endangered at an accelerating rate, research and identification must also keep up.  Oregon State University ichthyologist Brian Sidlauskas and his team traveled to Guyana, bringing back 5,000 specimens, some which had not yet been cataloged by scientists. And using social media networks for help with identification, they’re advancing knowledge of this biodiverse region before it is lost.
