  • Next month, fans of Ernest Hemingway will have the opportunity to bid on one of “Papa’s” fishing bags—which includes an inscription to Key Wester Charles Thompson, who was the inspiration for ‘Old Carl’ in The Green Hills of Africa—when it hits the auction block at Bonhams in New York City.
  • Trout Unlimited’s Water and Wine program helps grape growers, wineries, and conservationists work together for the good of wild salmon and steelhead. Good stories abound: “one of them is being played out every day in the wine-producing valleys of the Russian River watershed in Sonoma County, California,” writes Dave Stalling.
