Behind the Scenes: G.Loomis Factory

Round and around we go.... The finishing rotisserie at the G.Loomis Factory.

I’m guessing some of you have built your own rods before.  Remember that part where you apply the resin over the thread wraps, then place the rod on a spinning rotisserie until said resin dries?

Well, this is a photo inside the G.Loomis Factory in Woodland, Washington—specifically of one of their finishing rotisseries. I tried to count all the rods spinning around this thing and could not even come close.  I’m guessing there had to be upwards of 70 rods.  Notice the lady on the right attending the machine?  That will give you a sense of scale.
