- PBS/WGCU (Florida) will air “Silver King: The Birth of Big Game Fishing,” highlighting the history of the country’s tarpon craze, on April 25th.
- Kate Santich of the Orlando Sentinel gives a brief review of “Yet Begun to Fight.” a documentary is about wounded veterans given a chance to bond with each other on a week-long Montana fly fishing trip.
- The Simms ICE OUT event, the “fly fishing industry’s largest professional guide event,” will take place over the next ten days and will again feature a “Shoot Out”competition for film makers, who are given only 60 hours to produce a 6-minute entry.
- Chi Wulff’s Mark McGlothlin gives blunt advice to anglers looking for a break at the pump this spring and summer. One is obvious: “Live and/or work right on the damn river.“ If only it were that easy.
- At least one film critic thinks that “Salmon Fishing in the Yemen” is a flop. Fret not, though, as it doesn’tt appear to be a criticism of the fly fishing in the movie.
