Louis Cahill is a lifer. Fly fishing is what he does. Perhaps motivated by his father’s tough go at life, Louis pursued his first love and, thanks to his talent with the rod, pen and camera, continues to do so today.
Although his list is surely smaller than others’, thanks to the exotic locations his “job” takes him to, he encourages everyone to not put off looking into the bucket. Whether it is a destination, a species, or trip—whatever—do it today, writes Louis. (Mine, like many others, would probably look like this: Alaska, South America, New Zealand, wild steelhead, permit, and fishing with anyone who was close with my father. Louis, thank you for persuading us to start sooner rather than later.)
