Here’s a true gem. In this video, 1956 Fly Fishing World Champion Johnny Dieckman demonstrates the double haul. Before ultra-fast fly rods changed the sport, the norm was rods made of fiberglass, a material that can make casting large amounts of line challenging. But Dieckman makes it look effortless, even taking a nice largemouth in the process.
