This week’s fly-tying instructional video features the Matt’s Gnat, which author and tier Matt Grobert concocted in order to create a more durable version of George Griffith’s classic Gnat.  Fish a Matt’s Gnat anytime you’d normally fish a Griffith’s: whenever midges or small Blue-Winged Olives are being eaten on or near the surface.
