Video Hatch: “Nymphs & Strike Indicators in Mountain Streams”

“In late winter and early spring, fishing with nymphs is the best way to catch trout,” according to Ian Rutter of R and R Fly Fishing in Townsend, Tennessee.  Covering fly selection, strike indicators and reading pocket water, the video communicates some of the extensive knowledge Rutter has gathered over years of guiding in Great Smokey Mountain National Park.

Very informative and well presented. I like your insight about having the indicator in front of the flies for a quicker response. One question though; where do you put the split shot for best results? Thanks!
