MidCurrent‘s “Fly Fishing Jazz” columnist Kirk Deeter explores the cadence of streamer retrieves during a Lake Athabasca pike-a-thon in northern Saskatchewan: “It’s important to remember that to catch more fish, your retrieve cannot “march” to the same standard tempo, day after day, fish after fish.”
