September 7, 2011 By: Kirk Deeter

For 2012, Orvis has completely revamped its Clearwater rod series. The all new Clearwater series reaps the rewards of Orvis’s award-winning Helios technology with all new profiles and tapers taken directly from the Helios line making the new Clearwater rods lighter and more responsive than ever. There are 20 models, ranging from a delicate 2-weight to a broad-shouldered 12-weight in flex profiles perfectly suited for the rod’s application. Built with a significant upgrade in reel seat and cosmetics, these rods and outfits will revolutionize performance for price. More sizes, more performance, and game-changing value.
