In what is believed to be the first large-scale trout theft in the state’s history, thieves stole about one thousand trout from the San Joaquin State Fish Hatchery Sunday. “Somewhere in California, someone has a truck load of stolen merchandise that probably is starting to stink,” reports the Associated Press.
