Recycled Fish Fly Auction Raises Funds for Conservation

June 21, 2011 By: Marshall Cutchin

Non-profit Recycled Fish just started a “30 Flies, 30 Days” auction that features premium quality flies for anglers who support stewardship education. The auctions — which go live daily on eBay — feature premium flies from Hill’s Discount Flies,  a leatherette and fleece fly wallet from DICK’S Sporting Goods, a high quality faux leather and parchment fishing journal, and a $5 Bonus Certificate and discount coupons to use in stores or online. Fly Fishing Xtreme will throw in a Shark Tooth tippet control system and line cutter, and Christian Brothers Brandy will add a zinger.

“Anglers care about our waters and want to help, and this gives them an exciting way to raise funds for stewardship education,” says Recycled Fish Executive Director Teeg Stouffer. “Every penny raised through this auction goes to our general fund. Not a portion of proceeds, but the total amount raised, thanks to the generosity of our partners.”
