Channeling Cutthroats

“So far, [biologist Chris Clancy]’s already heard the tell-tale beep emanating from the 11 other westslope cutthroat trout that now carry a penlight battery-sized transmitter inside their belly.  But Number 460 is nowhere to be found.”  Perry Backus of Ravali Republic writes about the hi-tech efforts to study the behavior of native westslope cutthroat trout in western Montana.

It would be nice if Colorado would try to bring the greenbacks back. That is our native fish and it needs to be here!! One way is to charge the miners and drillers a fee that can not be charged back to us, so that it comes out of there pockets. They are the ones that wiped out the cutthroats!!
