John Merwin “Semi-Retires,” Joe Cermele Takes Over F&S Fishing Editor Spot

Field & Stream magazine announced yesterday that Joe Cermele would take over as fishing editor for the magazine, as John Merwin — founder of Fly Rod & Reel and fishing F&S fishing editor since 2004 — moves to the role of editor-at-large. Merwin, who is also on MidCurrent‘s editorial board, told us yesterday: “I’m semi-retiring — simply because I can, [being] now at a point in my life where I don’t gave to work so hard as I once did.” Merwin will continue to blog and write occasional features for the magazine.
