Trout Unlimited President and CEO Chris Wood talks with TU’s senior scientist, Jack Williams, about the possibility that the FDA will give approval to genetically modify salmon for human consumption.
Jack Williams: “There are really two major issues here. One is the food safety issue, which the Food and Drug Administration looks at routinely. The other is the environmental risk. And in this situation we have the FDA saddled with looking at both the food safety component and the environmental risk component.”
