Forbes magazine asked Monte Burke to come up with a list of the best fly fishing gear for their seasonal buyer’s guide. He had a better idea. Why not a list of the best fly fishing gear of all time?
“In the list I include items like the Hardy ‘Perfect’ reel for trout and the Wheatley fly box, both developed over a century ago. But I mixed in a few newer items as well, like the Orvis Helios rod and the Korkers Guide Wading Boot, which I think have become instant classics.”
