“BackCountry” Reef Safe Suncare

Backcountry

For 2011 Reef Safe Suncare adds Backcountry, an SPF 30+ sunblock combined with citronella to ward off pesky insects like yellow files, sweat files and no-seeums.

“For our consumers that spend long hours on the water, especially those in the fishing industry, sun damage and insects are two of their biggest annoyances,” says Dan Knorr, CEO and President of Tropical Seas, which manufactures Reef Safe Suncare products. “After much experimentation to provide a sunscreen that also fends off insects, we’ve had great feedback on BackCountry with Citronella from fishing guides and captains, and we look forward to its launch in the market.”

BackCountry (8.45 ounces) retails for $10, and can be purchased at Reef Safe’s Web site.

Reef Safe Products are anything but “Reef Safe” The “active” ingredient in Reef Safe Sunscreen is octinoxate, and oxybenzone, which are not “reef Safe’ or safe for the environment. Please do your homework and not just read the labels.
