Gudebrod Lays Off Entire Workforce

Ever since losing its the Glide dental floss account in 2007, Gudebrod has struggled to survive. Friday the company layed off all of its workers, reports Michelle Karas in the Pottsdown, PA Mercury. “Gudebrod dates back to the mid-1800s, when Belding Brothers Silk Co. was established in Middletown, Conn. In 1885, that company was sold to Christian Gudebrod and was renamed Champion Silk Co.”
