Update: States Moving Toward Felt Sole Bans
Are U.S. states planning to follow the lead of New Zealand in tightly controlling the use and cleanliness of wading gear?
A ban on felt soles is currently set for January 1, 2011 in southeast Alaska. But New Mexico and Vermont are also looking at either outright bans on use or sales prohibitions. Maryland, Utah and Colorado have banned the use of felt by their fisheries research crews.
