Winston Announces Limited Edition Conservation 5-Weight

R. L. Winston just announced a new 9′ 5-weight Boron IIx rod that it will sell along with a James Prosek signed and numbered 11″x14″ Rainbow Trout Limited Edition print. Each numbered rod will featured a hand-painted trout on the blank. In partnership with World Trout, the company will donate $360 (or 20%) of each sale to conservation projects of the purchaser’s choice. Winston will also donate two rods to Trout Unlimited in honor of their 50th Anniversary.

WINSTON ANNOUNCES LIMITED EDITION CONSERVATION ROD SERIES
January 21, 2009 In honor of the 80th anniversary of the R.L. Winston Rod Co., we are proud to announce the introduction of a new Limited Edition Conservation Rod to help in our ongoing conservation efforts.
These new 9′ 5-weight Boron IIx rods will be individually numbered and will feature a hand-painted Rainbow Trout on each rod by a Winston artist. In addition, each rod will also come with a James Prosek signed and numbered 11″x14″ Rainbow Trout Limited Edition print (print numbers to correspond to the rod number). The new 80th anniversary Limited Edition Conservation series rainbow trout rods and Prosek prints are limited to 100.
The price for this Limited Edition set (Winston Boron IIx 5-weight hand-painted rainbow trout rod and James Prosek print) has a suggested retail price of $1,800. Winston, on behalf of World Trout, will donate $360 (or 20%) from the sales of each rod sold to conservation projects of the purchaser’s choice. Purchasers will have the opportunity to personally tell Winston of the specific conservation project they would like to benefit or they can choose a conservation project from a list provided by Winston.
In addition to being Winston’s 80th year, 2009 also marks the 50th anniversary of Trout Unlimited. Over the past few decades, Winston has been a strong supporter of Trout Unlimited and their fundraising programs. This year, we are especially pleased to donate two rods, numbers 50 and 100 of our Limited Edition Conservation Rods to Trout Unlimited in honor of their 50th Anniversary.
