Caught between a family tradition of supporting one of the most famous spring creeks in the world and the politics of conservation, 37-year-old Justin O’Hair explains to Brett French why they ultimately built a dike to help restore the fishing on Armstrong’s Spring Creek, then followed it up with creek restoration in 2007. “‘It helps not only the fish in the spring creek but also those in the river,’ Anderson said, as many of the river’s fish move up the creek to spawn. ‘Actually the creek is better now than it was before the flood.'” In the Billings Gazette.
