If you’re looking for brook trout, Maine is the place to go and waters like those of the Rapid River are a great place to start: “Despite its relatively short 5.9-mile run from Middle Dam on the west shore of Lower Richardson Lake to Umbagog Lake on the border with New Hampshire, the Rapid River offers some of the finest native brook trout angling in the Northeast.”
