Any flats guide worthy of holding a pushpole will tell you that Bill Curtis was a pioneer in their profession, guiding folks to Biscayne Bay bonefish long before the advent of graphite fly rods, narrow-wire hooks and smooth disc drags. Not everyone has known — not even some of his clients — that he’s been guiding since the 1950s with only one eye. What’s he doing now?
